SHARPEN YOUR KIDDIES' SENSIBILITIES with POLITICALLY ACCURATE FLICKS!

Kids and grandkids should get a video MOVIE screening  on weekends from us. Lock them and us in the den with a huge bowl of hot buttered popcorn, promises of watermelon later, (popcorn makes us thirsty, later!) and a selected golden oldie.

'Splain the FLICK to them in pauses, cuz the kind of HIGH FALOOTING film I"m thinking of showing them requires explaining. IF THEY FROWN say 'I know this is making your brow scrunch up because it seems hard, but kids, I'd just hate for you not to know this stuff about our society!"

What STUFF?" "THE TRUTH about things," you say. "The one they don't print in the papers or put on TV." Be mysterious.

Ferinstance. I just saw SEVEN DAYS IN MAY. It's wonderful how this flick stands up, it was released in 64 right after JFK hit --but it obviously was written before NOV 63, definitely filmed before it! ROD SERLING did screenplay.

This Burt Lancaster, Kirk Douglas, Frederic March, Ava Gardener flick was written several years before JFK HIT. This book really pre-saw the drift of history. In the film, there's this PEACE CONFERENCE, Russia/USA, and a geezer PREXY BENT ON signing a non NUCLEAR agression kind of DISARMAMENT pact WITH RUSSIA! MEANING "PEACE is about to break out!!" The PREXY is going to be elimmed by a vigorous UNTRUSTING RUSKI-hating GENERAL and the JOINT CHIEFS are behind him as they consider the prexy a trusting jerk.

You'd have to stop the film at different points, fill the kiddies' glasses, then while they're sipping to keep from going out of their head, give them the background....how JFK was murdered as peace was going to break out. Just like in this flick.

The next weekend, watch film "JFK"! Much of what that DONALD SUTHERLAND character (a real person, actually) in JFK was watching go down in the PENTAGON was similar to the "7 DAYS" scenario. There was a high-placed officer in DC at time of JFK hit and he told ALL to OLIVER STONE. The Colonel FLETCHER PROUTY character called General X? This character was based on the late great Colonel Prouty whose truth telling is recorded at this site, CLICK ON URL, and whose taped talks are still available by mailorder! SIMILAR VEIN film, but it looks backwards.

ANOTHER looking backwards at JFK murder is a modern film, (1989) "THE PACKAGE (Hackman, Tommy Lee Jones, J. Cassidy) that TOLD the absolute truth about JFK hit. The producers went to one of the wealthiest tycoons in USA (John KLUGE) got him to fund this JFK HIT themed SCRIPT. He said I will do it, but don't make it so obviously about JFK. So they made it --again, a prexy bent on peace, about to sign agreement with
RUSKIS, and MILITARY OF BOTH NATIONS went after not HIM --but the RUSKI PREXY.

These films should be screened for your kids/grandkids to bring them up to speed on what is going on in USA. To understand the interplay of military, peaceniks vs facists. I would add PARALLEX VIEW with Warren Beatty, also exactly how assasinations are carried out, all variations on MANCHURIAN CANDIDATE and
CONSPIRACY THEORY with Mel Gibson just cuz it's a raving hoot!. "Executive Action" with Burt Lancaster. The Adventure of REMO WILIAMS, hilarious, but about defense/revolving doors/ joint chiefs again....running the country from a Secret Government.

AIR AMERICA, the true skivvy on CIA dealing heroin out of NAM. Fab flick with MEL GIBSON, Robert Downey.

We don't want any of our junior family members being part of the 80% that supports W or the likes of him.. That could happen. Your kids could one day have flags on their SUV and be enlisting for the MARINES or be supporting BIG BAMMYS in AFGHANI, CARPET BOMBING in IRAQ, or worse, they could be DOING THE CARPET BOMBING. Rent  "BURN" with Marlon Brando. Treatise on colonialism. GANDHI. ditto.
THE UGLY AMERICAN, with Brando, and the recent MICHAEL CAINE film THE QUIET AMERICAN, a Graham Greene novel, where he's in VIETNAM and this CIA guy Brendan Fraser steals his girl. ABSOLUTELY astounding film! "ENEMY of the PEOPLE" with WIL SMITH.

VIDEO TIME ON WEEKENDS....VERY IMPORTANT. Mom & Pop 'Splain it to you. BIg bowls of popcorn, massive quarts of vanilla ice cream.
