NEW ! CANTA LUPO MELON from TUSCANY. None of that squashy taste, ALL PEACH SCENTED MELON.  Don't plant near OTHER squash

jasmine MADAGASCAR JASMINE VINES. Also called bridal bouquet and Stephanoitis. This is a fast growing perennial vine which will cover a fence in a few years, climb a tree without hurting it, a 'non invasive vine.' Very important. I also have passionflower which IS invasive, I have honeysuckle vines too. Delightfully invasive. This Jasmine climbs a tree lightly  without choking it. Covers walls, fences. It is SAFE. HONEYSUCKLE has great flowers I have THOSE for cuttings. A Jasmine vine blooms with multiple, fragrant white flowers that glow in the dark. Right now I have dozens of baby plants a foot tall. Or share with pals, get seed. Have many. Great for doing l00 POTS one year for gifts the next year.  Light fragrance unlike cloyingly sweet, night blooming jasmine bushes! Grow it on a trellis or send it up a tree. Vines don't grow thick enough to shade the tree it climbs. Called Madagascar Jasmine as it's from a continent-sized island off the coast of East Africa. Does very well in L.A. and Valley.  I have dozens of 8" tall vines I'll give you all the vines you need JUST BRING CUPS OF EARTH as I have no earth to giveaway.

Have PASSIONFLOWER VINES TOO,rare passionflower vines free from L.A.
CALIF just bring your bagged garden soil to fill holes and bring  cans. You dig out the plant, have your pot ready with YOUR good potting soil in it and we water it right then as we don't want it to go into shock. You bring YOUR SOIL to fill YOUR POTS. You can take a divot of my soil with YOUR NEW VINE but you will TAKE GOOD SUPER SOIL AND REPLACE THAT EMPTY HOLE IN MY GARDEN. Put soil in the empty hole that you left. HOLE FILLING is NECESSARY. , Bring plastic piece or grocery bags for your car seat/ car trunk. As we wet the plant as soon as it is uprooted and put in to your pot so it won't go into shock. OR we don't wet it and you drive home fast. 8" tall or so. To One FOOT.

ten feet tall, the chinese pink
hollyhockTHE BLAZING HOT PINK HOLLYHOCK,  a BIENNIAL, Hottest pink ever seen. l0 feet tall. Up to 14 feet of height in the right soil. Some grow in shorter sizes, but in packs, fifteen stems to a 'bush.'. Great along fence to salute the world -- a real show piece! Makes great house bouquets. Have tons of seed for you TOTALLY FREE. Grow them against house. Each stem has dozens of flowers the size of teacups. BIENNIAL which means in temperate zones, plant in SEPTEMBER, it stays low til spring then shoots up. Then it does a second year or two.  OTHER HOLLYHOCKS --the BURGUNDY WINE single. Also THE soft PINK SINGLE. Originally from China, these guard the front fence, sentinels that easily reach 14 feet can be seen from a mile away. (well, almost) Grow them with foxglove & canterbury bells for that English garden look.

ULTRAMARINE blue MORNINGLORY, ANNUAL vine, some are PURPLE, some pink. Some are a pale blue.  Most will be purpley or ultramarine BLUE. Some pink. Morninglory Climbs anything, trees, bushes, fences. Freeze kills it, you peel dessicated vine off easily. Compost it --after you remove seeds to give to pals. THIS one makes areas of garden a sheet of DARK GREEN with points of shocking blue. Not invasive at all as winter knocks it out, then the glories are hanging there all dried up, you just pull downwards, it showers you with seeds & reseeds itself. You may call that invasive! I say it's the lazyman's way to a gorgeous garden. In bloom right now you can see it. I slightly prune vines if on lemon tree doing so while it's climbing as it could shade the fruit ripening process.

SLUT-FLOWERS, really four o'clocks, (magenta color & fragrant, a brilliant neon color,)  which look good with that particular shade of electric blue of the morning glories nearby WHY DO I CALL THEM THIS perjorative WHEN BURPEE DOES NOT? This flower doesn't open til sundown, very FRAGRANT PERFUME all night. They bloom in vacant lots and alleys, no fine soils required. They ask nothing in the way of care. They will grow in the cracks of a sidewalk, or in vacant lots. They self-sow .. the seed which is like a black pearl, rolls out onto the ground there on the alley meaning their daughters grow up in the streets just like Mom, that blatent little nightbloomer. They put down a root that turns into a tuber, so then they consider that they own the corner! This year and next. Hey, they don't call them slutflowers for nuttin! But I have seed.

WANDERING JEW in CERULEAN BLUE.GROUND COVER. Dozens of Plants available.  ( BELOW RIGHT)cerulean bluew ground cover called
                        wandering jew
. Makes a great ground cover. Bring a bag of SUPER SOIL or POTTING SOIL to fill in holes you leave when you take trees or bushes or ground cover.

UGLI FRUIT TREE, (*live link,) Mutant citrus from the Caribbean. Though some sources say it was hybridized by man, others disagree. God obviously made it. Fruit looks JUST like a grapefruit, but hasn't that bitter quality. It's less sugar than oranges. Sweeter than grapefruits. Variety I have is NOT UGLY..Looks like.a PERFECT GRAPEFRUIT, no mottling on skin at all! Open it, flesh is yellowy orange, fragrant, sweet, not bitter. UGLI is also called the JAMAICAN TANGELO. GREAT AROMA, FLAVOR,  In vogue for sorbets.  Skin great in marmalade, juice refreshing, not sugary like orange, so great for diabetics.  Zone 8 and above. No grapefruity bitter thing going, at all. NOTE:  CITRUS SEEDS go in the ground the second they come out of the fruit! I now realize my sending of the rare citrus, UGLI ..by MAIL will never work. I read a Calif agriculture dept booklet, sez seeds ALL CITRUS SEED is only good a few hrs, and cannot dry out. GROWERS recommend keeping seed in water all day when it comes out of the fruit! I have seed for limes, lemons, oranges, grapefruit and ugli and don't distinguish or label. I GIVE TOTALLY FREE BABY  'citrus' trees and they have to grow them in pots until they get fruit to see what they have.  To get specific UGLI seeds, we pull fruit from the tree. UGLI is real rare, unusual and I DO want to share it. Come HERE in its RIPENESS SEASON and we open a fruit, share the eating, tasting how unique it is...then pull fresh, wet seeds which you go home and plant.  While seed is damp. The seed will give you a lot of valuable, rare trees to gift or sell.

Calendula, shaggy yellow flower, 3" across, with healing juices in the flower petals .Seal any wound. A PCKG OF SEED IS TOTALLY FREE FOR YOU Great stuff. Petals smushed laid on a cut or wound will seal wound, stop bleeding, grow skin immediately, prevent scarring; Mush the petals into neosporin if you have a big cut. Any WOUND WILL both heal and CLOSE and not be infected.

PLANTAGO MAJORA a magical herb for removing brown sun spots from the skin if plantago is squished or mortared a few times a day for two weeks, and covered with aloe vera sap. Plantago kills viruses so it works on warts too. I have aloe veras too. Mix with avocado for facial. See BEAUTY INDEX

ALOE CUTTINGS and ALOE VERA Plants, large. You dig out, bring can w. soil. Cuttings as many as you want, they grow to full size in a year. Many big specimens, too. THE OTHER DRAGON ALOE VINE has fab orange hyacinth-like flowers, climbs fences.

Seeds for BROCCOLI, PURSLANE, SWISS CHARD, ARUGULA, BEETS,  BORSCHT ANYONE? Mustard, (spring green, is delish, not in summer) and Green ARUGULA, an Italian cress for salads. Seed avail year round.

CROCOSIMIA BULBS from South Africa are blooming DEC thru MARCH, just as they do in Cape Town and Johannesberg, S.Africa. I dig out CORMS in JUNE, JULY, AUGUST OR SEPTEMBER, give them away by the hundred. My variety is chest high, lasting in VASES so makes BEST EVER cut flower, no fragrance but an art noveau look.  NOW: GROWING SO THICK I NEED YOU TO DIG OUT THE PLANTS. YOU CAN SET THEM IN GARDEN NOW WITH ROOT BALL. BRING A SHOVEL, big trash  bag. And a strong MAN. And pour some of YOUR SOIL in the empty HOLES!

MELIA TREE,  Umbrella tree or CHINA BERRY From Himalayas,  Have  a few 3 foot tall baby trees, a hundred 6" high toddler trees, rest is seeds. Thousands of those.  'Mala' means bracelet or rosary which they're used for in INDIA. EACH RIPE SEED is like a jewel, fat, beadlike, hexagon star shaped. These lush fragrant lilac flowers that cover the tree, turn into beads, six sided, like a SOLOMON STAR, huge religious significance. This tree will be useful for jewelers as it provides the beads used by rosary makers in India if you have a DREML drill that is. Could gold leaf them, too, or paint them. FERNY foliage, lasting in vases, flowers are fragrant. Tree is deciduous. High Autumn colors. Any zone except sub arctic. Orig. from Himalyas,  a Necklace of mountains. Mala. Rosary same word root . Zones 8,9 best. Have thousands of baby trees, these are free. No potting soil trade required.  SEEDS are fat,  ergo require bigger envelope, if I mail but you can sell baby nursling trees to friends  Google melia tree, umbrella tree, chinaberry tree, same thing. GREAT landscaping tree. FREE TO YOU, by the dozen. Ring your north side of property as they grow tall: beads excellent for stringing, six lobed, tradit. used in indian rosary making, malas they call it. the name MELIA (named by English explorers) was what they heard, MALA  refers to local use as necklace beads. Mala being local word for necklace or bracelet or rosary in their language. Lilac flowers in SPRING are very frag. if pruned, does not produce berries in that next summer nor flowers. so prune judiciously leaving 2nd year growth where poss. makes lovely floral arrangement. the wood (hard) is useful for rustic arbor and trellis making, many branches can be up to l0 feet tall, straight, up to 2 " wide. Clean up seeds so children do not chew on them. Birds squirrels can eat them and they will. At 50 to 60 yrs brittle branches can break in winter winds or Summer droughts, some big and heavy so water well.

CUTTINGS off BUSHES TO COMBINE  IN YOUR "PERENNIAL FLOWER BED"

JUSTICIA CARNEA, yours ... cuttings
only, so u must be here in L.A. Calif<== JUSTICIA CARNEA   This is a gorgeous bush, tropical, shrimp flowers on steroids. NOV in CALIF good time for cuttings. This flowers in MAY in California. Flowers a second time in autumn.

JADE PLANT - Makes a great bed bush, companion to spider plants. See the one on right, in pot here at this site: http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_26bRLSbCB4I/SoOMIb0JsQI/AAAAAAAAArA/7SbMVYKh8FY/s400/Two+jades.JPG

SEEDS for everything, arugula, romaine lettuce, broccoli,  3 types of LILLY flowers, Pink Lady, Calla and Canna.

TROPICALS: There are Tequila cactuses, magueys and agaves striped or plain verdigris agave. Three sizes. These cost hundreds in landscaper's nursery. HIT THIS URL TO SEE THE MAGUEY. These are huge. My next door neighbor has gadzillions of baby plants, Scott is about to take them all down so you DROUGHT GARDEN FOLKS, bring pruning shears. They are up and down a ten foot tall stem. Want the rooted plant, the big guys, you'd need to hire a worker to dig one out. HARD as they have sharp points. Treasures are worth a little money of course and you fill HOLE you leave with a bag of HOME DEPOT potting soil. I no longer have a big POT to give with the maguey so bring BURLAP AND HEMP CORD to do a ROOT wrap. KEEP YOUR WORKER an extra hour while he puts it in your home. These look terrific in a huge chalice shaped patio POT!

EVER RUN THRU A GARDEN AFTER A FAT MOUSE
AND SMACK INTO ONE OF THESE? U can HAVE IT!

SPIDER PLANTS work well in outside beds in
semi tropics like L.A.Rousseauesque spider plants, with hanging baby plants hanging like xmas tree decorations from the mother plant. and there are dozens of mothers!  See http://www.blankees.com/house/plants/image/spider_plants.jpg
They stay low and drop down spires so plant in pots. With the babies hanging several feet below shelf. All Are bright.I Have plain green, too. You can have quite a few of 'em. Free. So you can get some big jungly looking BEDS going. I mix variagated with plain green. Have both for you as they are much more effective 'mixed.'

CACTUS cuttings. (see below) if I said plants ... well, these become plants fast enough. Need coarse sand in the soil and good humus. They grow to the height of a man need sun and heat, not too much water or they rot, so don't put them near water hungry little annuals. This cactus FLOWERS in YELLOW, is not the OPUNTIA tho it looks exactly like a NOPAL. Almost..ALL CACTUS are vicious burglar disencouragers, even destroyers. Great fence protection. No AKITA will leap your fence as jumped mine. My landlady had her men take my fence cactus out. I salvaged an ear or two. Now they're chest high. Ears have to be dried after they are older, i.e. hardened off. A few days drying scar, then root.

To get  TREES, bring soil to fill in the hole -- your own garden soil is fine. I can't have holes here.FIGS are all sizes, small and JAN/FEB cuttings off the good blackfig tree, lower branches will root fast. There are  PEACHES. Sweeter than super market peach. BABIES ARE FREE. WALNUTS CHEST HIGH TREES ARE FREE. . Bring a bag or trash can or box of it. Then, to pay for my years watering that tree, trade a bag of SUPER SOIL tho much better is POTTING MIX as I am out of starter soil for flats .

Come over with a shovel and your SON as you guys need to dig out any tree. A gal cannot. FILL in the hole with your homemade soil. Give me the bag of super soil or POTTING MIX which I prefer. Bring 5 gallon containers  WITH YOUR OWN SOIL IN THEM! Soil I ain't got. That's why I DO THIS THING EACH YEAR. We put your tree in your container with soil above, around and under. That ain't my soil going out the door. It's YOURS.

If you want tricky to move FIG, PEACH, WALNUT MULBERRY, POMEGRANATE, we probably gotta do this in JANUARY when they are dormant. BLACK "English" WALNUT is a fab tree, a protein tree, a great shade tree, always plant on NORTH side of your property so it does not shade your garden. ie. use as cuttings or to graft, come Dec, January and early FEB. FIG CUTTINGS ROOT EASILY THEN. ANOTHER way for BRANCHES living thru shock of a GRAFT INSERTION is do it when both are dormant. In winter. Remember, Bring enough potting or even garden soil to fill hole which YOU WILL DIG, don't leave me big empty holes. Then give me a bag of potting soil for myself, as a trade for all these plants trees bushes and seeds.Cuttings and corms and hours away from my DESK WORK which pays the bills.

My habit is to plant every citrus seed as I juice the fruits. If you want citrus trees, orange, lime, lemon, ugli or grapefruit I have MANY babies I'd part with for 15$ just plant in  sunlight, in hot weather daily waterings, Keep citrus in a big enough pot so that it won't dry out! Get humus soil.Their roots expand fast. UGLI is super rare. Worth having!

So bring your l-gallon cans half-filled with YOUR SOIL so we can place your new, FRESHLY DUG tree or  plant in there and not have it go into shock. We will then TOP IT OFF WITH BAG OF SOIL YOU BRING WITH YOU!>.. Then we water it. You should have a box in your car lined with a plastic trash bag  so plants don't drip in car on ride home. Bring your garden soil to fill holes you leave. But some GARDEN SOIL is for your pots and I GET ONE BAG OF POTTING MIX SOIL  2 sq feet is for me, for the 'trade.' I PREFER POTTING MIX if you could. NOT bags marked "SOIL"
