THE REAL DIRT ON FARMER JOHN is a DOCUMENTARY and my daughter the NYC photographer saw it on PBS and sez it kicked butt!

Imagine a Swedish Family farm .....many generations
have tilled this soil down thru the centuries. Then, in the sixties John
inherited it and whoops, little too much weed, he let the hippies from
nearby CHICAGO come live
there, which totally alienated his neighbors! 
John mebbe wasn't so good at business for a while...Then, in the high rent 80s he lost the farm, (all but house)...then he started growing organic vegies on his little one acre houselet, let some more hippie folks come and farm with him, live there and, as he cut down on weed, he slowly came to his business senses.
John and his Mom sold vegies/fruits every which way from Sunday including STAND on the road.....subscriptions to nearby Chi, and slowly he learned how to make DIRT PAY......and he was able to slowly BUY back the orig acreage, all that land. NOW, of course, the NEIGHBORS even hated him WORSE! Cuz he's an ex hippie who now has money and fame and clients!

PBS did documentary of it "THE REAL DIRT ON FARMER JOHN" You can buy the DVD and my kid Paloma sez it is FABULOUS! Worth having to inspire any kids about starting a business using internet, available farm land. She saw it on INDEPENDENT LENS on public tv! Not too shabby.

P.S. LET's get ten of us hobby gardeners to buy the thing, it's 35$ with shipping (DVD) and copy it nine times so we pay $3.50 each. WHO KNOWS SOMEONE who can copy a DVD? I WROTE A LONG PIECE on how to get LAND one gas tank away from your city, FOR nearly FREE, READ "THE FREE FARM".
We all chip in on the farm or the DVD.... I will
keep count of who answers and when there are TEN
PEOPLE and somebody who knows how to copy DVD's,
we can make our move, ash wise. So just answer if you'd be interested at
$3.50. Funny, that's the same way that you buy the FARM, too!

PS for the farm list, you gotta start your own list there in your town. Buy a ten acre piece, selling shares, like in the FREE FARM story....costs next to nothing. Trick is doing it as a tax exempt non profit ANONYMOUS corporation out of UTAH, calling 9 of the real owners 'workers' and their villas are sold to them by anonymous shares. They seem to be worker villas.(for ZONING LAW REASONS as there cannot be ten or up to 35 homes on a family farm!.) You'll see, read article get back to me on it. Send copy of that article and maybe this one, to all your pals, find l0 or so, up to 36 is legal, "shares in a limited partnership,' they call it.
