Train Your Natural Hair With These Edible Conditioners

Oh, the woes of frizzy, dry  hair! If your frizzies are out of control.. if your hair is lacking moisture, hydration, then beauty is not happening. The SHINE isn't there. To remedy dry hair, try working with 'the right stuff', i.e.  natural foods, like ripe, yummy avocados and golden, sweet bananas, both full of natural oils straight from the pantry. Why do that? YOUR HAIR will be happy and soak it up. NOT CHEMICALS but the REAL DEAL.Also you won't pay as much to achieve beautiful, manageable hair. While avocados are pricey, the benefit of getting 100% avocado chock full of nutrients, and not a hybrid of 30 other ingredients, is priceless! In California, my neighbor gives me all the avos that the squirrels bit into and knocked over. When they're ripe, I cut the bitemark out. So they're free. Here are ten edible items for natural deep conditioners and their benefits for hair:

Apple Cider Vinegar: Smoothes hair shafts over time, preventing split ends. Acid breaks the alkalai shampoo molecules stuck to your hair, makes it manageably soft after shampooing.

Avocado: Helps hydrate hair, natural oils repairs split ends.

Banana: Rich in potassium, natural oils, vitamins that softens hair. Can be from babyfood, in jars.

Coconut oil: Essential proteins to rebuild damage hair.

Eggs: Protein rich, makes hair more manageable. Use yolks not whites.

Extra Virgin Olive Oil: Controls frizzy hair, full of good fats.

Honey: Natural humectant, provides impeccable shine.

Mayonnaise: Another form of eggs, providing shiny, soft hair.

Molasses: Full of proteins, minerals helps to relieve hair of stress. Only need a dab of this one.

Plain Yogurt: Great protein supplier leaves hair shiny, soft. (Also best exfoliant for facials on skin. Apply for 1/2 hr.)

GET THESE ingredients or whichever you have around, add a dib and a dab until you have 2 tbspoons which is what you  need for short hair, 3 tbsp for long. FOODS DO NOT KEEP so don't make more than that at one sitting.

INSTRUCTIONS. Shampoo as usual, castille soap is better than sodium lauryl. More natural. Then put on conditioner, wrap on a steaming hot towel and sit for a while reading a book. Refresh hot towel every five minutes. After a half hour, rinse with vinegar/ water. 1 tbspn to a quart. More or less.
